First impression is the prescription is spot on despite my prescription being a bit complicated by astigmatism. Prescription options range from the frankly Mr. Magoo like -9 to +9, which is certainly beyond the normal range of contact strengths.
I have significant trouble with my eyes and I had been struggling with a combination of sports glasses and OTG goggle. They never exactly fitted and I did not always have a clear view on the slopes. Regularly I had problems with condensation on my glasses or on the goggle. I didn’t experience this with these goggles. I always had a clear view and I didn’t have to stop skiing to wipe the glasses for condensation.
After lots of googling, searching for prescription ski goggles, optical ski goggles, ski goggles with glasses it became apparent that there were numerous Heath Robinson solutions out there but none that I had too much faith in, as I suspected every goggle users nightmare of misting/fogging up would be even more of an issue if wearing optical inserts in the goggles. Then I came across SnowVision, a Belgian company, set-up by three visionary dudes with a passion for the mountains. They have developed their own patented system, which basically has the 'glasses' in a sealed unit, so no issue with fogging/misting up.
